This exotic tree, which is a botanical monument of nature, is more than 130 years old. The nut was planted on Vokzalna Street (now Pylypchuka Street) in 1888. Black nut is the only tree of this species in Khmelnytskyi. This is a great rarity in our zone, because its homeland is North America. Such trees can live up to 200 years and reach 50 meters in height. Fruits, leaves and bark have medicinal properties. By the way, Khmelnytskyi nut also has magical properties. It is said that if you touch its trunk, you can gain positive energy and make a wish that will come true.
