Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

For today, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is the oldest building in Khmelnytskyi city. The church was built in 1837. Indigenous people of Proskuriv retell for many years, that there used to be a wooden church, but unfortunately, it burned down in 1822.

Pharmacy of Ludwig Derevoed

At the end of the XX century, the building at the corner of Proskurivska and Proskurivskoho Pidpillia streets, among mostly one-story buildings in the city, looked very majestic.

The Post and Telegraph Office residence is one of the most beautiful symbols of the old city. At the beginning of the XX century the building operated as Proskuriv Post and Telegraph Office till the beginning of the 1920-s.

Isaak Spiegel`s Mansion

Issak Spigel`s mansion was the first briсk building in the central part of the then Proskuriv. For a long time, Isaak lived in a Jewish block of the city near the Buh River.

Polish National House / Dom ludowy

In 1928 the People`s House was built with the funds provided by the Hrechany Village community (nowadays Hrechany is a district of Khmelnytskyi). The institution became later the center of cultural and educational life of the village.

Palace of solemn events (Registry office)

House #4 which is located in Haharina Street is the place of great importance for every resident of the city, there the only Registry Office in the whole city operates. This marvelous building has a historical value.

Oleksiyivske Real School

Thanks to the senior chairman of the Odessa Judicial Chamber, the real state adviser Boris Yuliyovych Witte, in 1900 it was decided to organize a real school in Proskuriv.

Fire Station

One of the symbols of our city is the building of the former fire station, where the Planeta cinema is now located. This building is perhaps the best example of the architecture of the city of Khmelnytsky in the 1950s.

Mykhailo Shylman`s Mansion

This blue house at 84 Hrushevskoho Street once belonged to one of the Proskuriv's richest industrialists, Mikhail Shylman, who once built a malt factory, a carpentry factory, and one of the city's best printing houses “Poriadok”.
