Due to the effort of the senior chairman of the Odessa Court of Justice, state councilor Borys Yuliiovych Witte, it was decided to organize a realschule in Proskuriv in 1900. Soon began the construction of a two-story building for a new educational institution on the then Starobulvarna street. In 1904, the construction of the first real school, named after the heir to the Russian throne, Tsarevych Oleksiy, was completed. That year 12 red beeches were planted near the educational institution, only 4 of which have survived to these days. These trees have the status of a botanical natural monument. Among the famous graduates of the Oleksiyivske Real School was the Ukrainian writer Mykola Trublaini (1907-1943), the author of the well-known works Lakhtak and Schooner Columbus. With the advent of Soviet power, the real school ceased to exist. In subsequent years, its premises were occupied by a school, later - by party and Komsomol organizations, and since 1986, the city executive committee.
